Every Niche is Urgent: How to Find the Ideal Clients that Agree

So often, I hear little nudges of doubt in my clients about how urgent or desirable their niche is. They say things like

  • There just isn’t a sexy way to say this.
  • My niche just isn’t urgent for people.
  • My ideal client is just harder to sell to.

And what I always say is: every niche is an urgent niche. If it doesn’t feel urgent right now, that may be because the audience you’re selling to isn’t the one who finds it the most urgent.

Ideal Clients Find your Niche Urgent

To find the clients who will find your offer the most urgent, I want you to think of your past clients and narrow them down to the people who match all THREE of these criteria:

  • Already trying to solve the problem or have struggled with the consequences of the problem.
  • They were a joy to work with AND got great results in your offer.
  • They had minimal questions or objections before working with you.

Finding the ideal client who matches all 3 will help you speak to people who naturally see your work as a priority. They’re the ones who are most prepared to join, follow your process, take action, and see results. And these criteria will help you narrow down who is quick to see the value and feels ready to get started.

Even if this list narrows it down to one person, that’s GOOD! It gives you a lot more clarity, direction, and focus on who your best urgent client type is for your offer.

Once you shift your messaging to speak to THEM, that’s when your “not so urgent” niche is going to have people leaning in, listening, and BUYING.

This may mean you dial in from “tired moms” to “tired from single parenting.” Or from just “biz owners with podcasts” to “biz owners 30+ episodes deep but not seeing sales.” Another example could look be “ambitious career women” to “women who feel like they’re overworking but overlooked”.
