And once I graduated…truthfully, my opportunities to write seemed to grind to a screeching halt.
Even though I tried to twist and bend my job description to involve more reading, writing, and research…it wasn’t enough to keep me happy.
It was a sunny morning in early 2018 when I decided to resign from my job and take a massive leap of faith to see if I could bring a career of my own making to life.

My journey to becoming a launch copywriter has been a storied one…and it really depends on where you want to start.
As a kid...I’ve written in a journal since I was 7.
As a college student - I was the weird one who whispered *yessss* under my breath when the professor would request that we write an essay as our final exam.

My business has evolved many times - from journalism to content writing, and eventually finding my “forever role” as a launch copywriter & messaging strategist.
In Summer of 2021, we made the bittersweet decision to part ways with Uganda, and now we’re based in Amman, Jordan!
So many people start their business to be able to travel more…But it was traveling that actually allowed me to start and grow my business in the first place.
It’s been a wild ride - but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Only a few weeks after I had resigned - my husband was offered a 6-month contract in Kampala, Uganda.
The subject line that started it all…
To be honest, I had to look it up on a map to know exactly where it was 😅
At first, I was on the fence about leaving DC…what the heck was I going to do in Uganda of all places??
But I’m so glad I decided to make the leap.
Those 6-months transformed into 3 wonderful years where I was able to make friends, create some pretty incredible memories, and had the time and freedom to grow my business.

✈️ I love moving around! I was born in the USA, but growing up I spent 7 years in the Caribbean (in Jamaica and the US Virgin Islands), graduated from high school in London, UK, moved back to DC for university, moved to Uganda, and now live in Amman, Jordan!
🌍 I went to school in Washington DC and studied International Affairs and Environmental Studies (my original career goal was to be a Non-Profit Manager)
📺 I love all reality TV - especially Survivor, Shark Tank, and Home Decor shows
👋🏾 I’m left-handed
🎨 One of my goals is to publish an illustrated novel!
🥁 Another one of my life goals is to play in a steel pan band for carnival again! #IYKYK
